DeepForest
Find trees and birds in aerial imagery, with deep learning.
DeepForest is a Python package that detects ecological objects in airborne colour imagery. It ships with a tree crown model and a bird model, which anyone can retrain on their own annotations.
And where does AI come in?
Object detection networks, built on torchvision, draw a box around each tree or bird. No pre-trained model suits every forest, so the project helps users annotate and train a model suited to their own site.
